Finding strength, balance and authenticity

I’m Nicole, a certified yoga teacher and nutrition coach, originally from Switzerland, but my heart has always belonged to the world. Traveling solo from a young age was more than just an adventure—it was a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and transformation. Exploring different continents throughout my twenties shaped my understanding of who I am, deepened my awareness of well-being, and allowed me to form meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds in a way that goes far beyond language. For the past several years, I have called Playa del Carmen, Mexico home.

I believe in living authentically—not following convention, but instead pursuing what truly ignites my passion while taking care of my body and mind along the way. Prioritising well-being is non-negotiable—we only have one body, and as we age, taking care of it becomes even more essential. Through yoga and nutrition, I’ve created a lifestyle that supports my health aging, energy, and longevity—and I’m passionate about helping others do the same.

Discipline has always been my foundation. It’s what has allowed me to follow my own path, build a life on my own terms, and work from anywhere in the world. I bring this same dedication and structure to my coaching, because I know that real transformation comes from commitment, consistency, and a deep connection to yourself. And that’s exactly what I help my students cultivate—strength, balance, and the ability to take control of their own health and well-being.

My Yoga Journey:
From Feeling Lost to Finding Balance

For years, I was searching for something I couldn’t quite define. I traveled, lived freely, and had incredible experiences, yet deep down, I felt lost, restless, and disconnected. No matter how far I went, something was missing. I struggled with stress, drank too much, and felt out of touch with myself—like I was constantly chasing something I couldn’t quite grasp.

That changed when I arrived at Lake Atitlán, Guatemala in 2012, during the Mayan calendar year—a time of reflection and transformation. There, I discovered yoga—or maybe yoga found me. I also took part in a powerful cacao ceremony that awakened something deep within me. It was a moment of clarity, release, and connection—one that helped me step onto a path I had been searching for all along.

Yoga became my anchor, bringing my mind, body, and spirit into alignment. With every practice, I felt more present, more at peace with everything, and more like myself. The energy of Lake Atitlán deepened my connection to the practice and marked a turning point in my life.

Over the years, I explored various styles—Kundalini, Hatha, Power Vinyasa, Yin, and Nidra—before completing my 200-hour Vinyasa yoga training in Mexico in 2017. This experience not only strengthened my personal practice but also ignited my passion for teaching and sharing yoga’s transformative power with others.

Yoga has been my tool for mental clarity, resilience, and healthy aging, shaping not just my body but my entire way of life. It’s what keeps me strong, adaptable, and balanced, helping me improve my health, mindset, and daily habits. For me, yoga isn’t just about movement—it’s about building strength from the inside out, protecting my body from injury, and staying deeply connected to myself on a physical, mental, and emotional level. It keeps me grounded, eases stress, and allows me to move through life with more confidence and ease.

My Nutrition journey: From Restriction to Freedom

As a child, I went through a chubby phase and even had to stop ballet classes. My mom always made sure we ate home-cooked meals with minimal sugar, but despite that, I developed a complicated relationship with food. I saw eating as something tied to how I looked rather than how I felt, believing that restricting food was the only way to stay in shape. Like many, I grew up thinking that being healthy meant eating less, not necessarily eating better.

I’ve always been an active person, but in my twenties, I wasn’t in great physical condition—it just wasn’t something I prioritised. I also didn’t pay much attention to what I was eating. I was traveling, enjoying life, staying up late, eating whatever was convenient, smoking, and drinking alcohol—without giving much thought to how it all affected me. I felt invincible but I didn’t realize the damage I was doing to my body. Traveling made it even harder to maintain a healthy diet. But after I hit 30, I started noticing changes. I felt tired more often, my body wasn’t as resilient, and I carried a little extra weight. I often felt bloated, sluggish, and disconnected, but I didn’t realise just how much my habits were catching up with me. It became clear that I couldn’t keep treating my body the same way.

It wasn’t until I discovered yoga that things really started to shift. As I deepened my practice, I naturally began craving healthier foods. Moving my body, focusing on my breath, and spending time on the mat made me more aware of what I was putting into it. I suppose it was because my body was getting healthier—it wanted real, nourishing food instead of things that drained my energy. Living in a hot climate also played a role; I needed lighter, hydrating meals, and I started drinking more water to keep up with the heat - something I hadn’t prioritised before.

This shift wasn’t about dieting—it was about learning to fuel my body in a way that gave me energy, strength, and balance.

The change didn’t happen overnight, but through small, consistent shifts, I started listening to my body instead of fighting it. I let go of old habits, overcame sugar cravings, and stopped relying on convenience foods. I found a way of eating that worked for me - nutritious meals during the week, staying active because it keeps me balanced, and enjoying my weekends without guilt.

Now, as a certified nutrition coach, I’m passionate about teaching nutrition because I know how powerful it is—not just for how we look, but for how we feel. As we get older, our bodies change, and the things that worked in our twenties don’t always work anymore. I want others to experience what it’s like to have real energy, to wake up feeling good, and to build habits that actually support their well-being in the long run.

My Journey to Helping Others: From Practicing to Teaching

As I transformed my own health, I realised how confusing and overwhelming wellness can be. So many people struggle with food, movement, and finding a routine that actually works for their body. That’s why I became a yoga and nutrition coach—to help others create real, sustainable change in a way that feels natural and achievable.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to health. Through personalized yoga and nutrition coaching, I tailor each session to your unique needs—whether it's improving mobility or sleep, managing stress, or building a better relationship with food. I also incorporate Ayurveda, which I’m currently studying, to provide a deeper, more holistic approach to well-being.

If you’re feeling stuck with your health, unsure where to start, or just need some guidance, let’s talk. I offer a free 20-minute call, where we go over your goals and discuss how I can support you in creating a plan that works for you. No pressure, just a conversation.
